 International clinical trials When we were approached by a client to procure a critical shipment of comparator drugs from a single batch our clinical trials team quickly went to work. Knowing that the required product was unavailable in the UK, our team immediately began an audit of our European contacts. Realising that the product was also currently unavailable in continental Europe, and with time as ever a crucial factor, we were able to secure a manufacturing slot in a European factory and arrange for the comparators to be swiftly produced on-spec and on-demand for our client. Aware of the potential logistical and regulatory difficulties of this approach, our team oversaw the design and production of unique labelling, and was able to arrange all necessary supporting documentation in good time. This meant that there was a very minimum of delay for our client because the product was ready for shipping to the UK almost as soon as it came off the production line. On arrival into this country the product's only brief stop on the way to the clinical trial site was in our dedicated warehouse, where it was quality assured by our warehouse team before being loaded back onto refrigerated transport for the short journey to the trial site. The end result for our client was that their clinical trial was able to continue uninterrupted, and for Keats it was an opportunity to challenge ourselves by working with a number of partners to strict deadlines. |
